with blank head

Posted on Mar 1st, 2007 by Rich : Human Rich
with my blank head
I gaze out of the window
there is a wood pigeon eating
white cherry blossom

with my blank head
I gaze out of the window
until the window is my eye
and the room is my skull

sitting here, inside my skull
I look out through
my 12 paneled eyes
into over-cast skies
the fat jolly pigeon
flying through my insides . . . .

oh how little,
is my blank head?

clear and soft the warm rain
insistently cascades onto
cold stone.

massagin its marble viens
how long until the
resisting surface cracks

and pours forth a river?

Boulder Baby!

Posted on Mar 18th, 2007 by Rich : Human Rich
Well, here I am in Boulder Colorado, the trip so far has not been boring. The day before I flew out from Heathrow I went to hospital and had a gamma radiation scan including the uses of a strong diretic, which flared up my kidney problem. I then stayed at my pal Carl's flat in London and we watched a film and had smoothies, although they were so think I think we can call them Fruit Slushies, you could chew on them, but they were lovely! The next morning I flew out on the plane and was fine most of the way there however towards the end of the flight my kidney was acting up again. I got a bus and a taxi to Nomali's house and was welcomed in beautiful fashion by her Marco and Kayla and also a surprise phonecall from Rollie. I then went to bed!

The following day I took a walk round Boulder with Nomali and then met Sterling, this was the 14th. I also saw Sterling on the 15th and we talked and talked. Then on the 16th, Friday, I went to look round the Shambhala Centre and sat some meditation there and was later 'hit on' by a woman who, oddly, has yet to contact me back. I then went home and wasn't feeling so good so went to bed to try and sleep things off, however this didn't really work so Sterling kindly drove me to the ER and the people there kindly gave me some heavy painkillers! Saturday morning I then had minor surgery and left the hospital late afternoon and rested at home, I also recieved a lovely phonecall from Willow. Today, Sunday 18th, I got up, lounged around until 1 when Sterling called, he came over and Rob came over too, so we talked some and then went for dinner. This has been the trip so far!
